DAY
1- 22nd March / ISTANBUL
Welcome to Turkey. Arrive in Istanbul
Airport, met by our welcoming team and
transferred to your hotel. After check
into the hotel, meet at the lobby for
welcome and cocktails. Free at your
leisure. Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 2- 23rd March
/ ISTANBUL ( B. )
Our journey begins in Istanbul, the only
city in the world situated on two continents.
Byzantium, Constantinople, Istanbul -
its three names span more than 2600 years,
nearly 1600 of them as the capital of
two of the greatest empires the world
has known, Byzantine and Ottoman. We visit
the Topkapi Palace including treasury
section, The Blue Mosque and Hippodrome,
where chariot races and the Byzantine
riots took place and free time in Grand
bazaar with its 3.500 shops. Overnight
in Istanbul.
DAY
3- 24th March / TROY
– CANAKKALE ( B. D )
After breakfast drive to Canakkale city
( 5 hours from Istanbul) “Homer's Troy”,
and the site of King Priam's Treasures.
Probably the most famous city of classical
times ( who wouldn’t know the story of
the Trojan Horse ? ) we settle at our
hotel in Canakkale.
DAY
4- 25th March / PERGAMUM -
KUSADASI ( B.D )
After breakfast
we enjoy a scenic drive through Thrace
to visit the hauntingly beautiful the
ancient city of Pergamon. We see the Altar
of Zeus, Temple of Dionysus and the 200,000
volume library, The Asclepieum of Pergamon.
Leaving Pergamon behind us and drive to
famous holiday resort “Kusadasi
“ Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.
DAY
5- 26th March / EPHESUS
– KUSADASI (B. D)
in the morning, we drive to the ancient
city of Ephesus ( 15 minutes drive from
Kusadasi) and first visit the Temple of
Artemis, one of the ancient seven wonders
of world. Ephesus was undoubtedly one
of the most important cultural centres
of the ancient world. Impressive structures
we will see include the Library of Celsius,
Temple of Hadrian, Theatre and Odeon.
We also visit the House of the Virgin
Mary. We stay overnight in Kusadasi
.DAY 6- 27th March /
PAMUKKALE (B. D.)
Depart for Pamukkale. Arrive in Pamukkale
and visit ancient city of Hierapolis.
Visit and swim in the world famous calcium
deposited pools Travertines. Overnight
in one of the Thermal Hotels in Pamukkale
DAY
7- 28th March / ANTALYA
(B.D)
After breakfast drive to Antalya to relax
in this wonderfull resort. Dinner and
overnight.
DAY 8- 29th March /
ANTALYA ( B.L.D)
TODAY
IS THE DAY FOR FULL ECLIPSE
. Proceeding to the prearranged spot for
the eclipse. We will be out in the open air on top of a flat
platform in order to have the best observing conditions.
Two further (back-up) locations are arranged. Full Day. Drive back
to the hotel late in the afternoon.
DAY
9- 30th March / ISTANBUL
( Domestic flight ) (B.D)
This morning,
we drive east to visit the ancient sites.
The best preserved theatre of Turkey ;
Aspendos, Perge. After the tour
transfer to the Antalya airport for our
flight to Istanbul. Met at Istanbul airport
and transfer to the hotel. After check
in, free in Istanbul to explore this magnificent
city by our private A/C coach & Bosphorus
Cruise in the late afternoon. Farewell
dinner with Turkish authentic show.
DAY 10 – 31st March /
return home (B.)
Transfer to Istanbul airport &
the end of our services.
